Recruiting AI Showcase Day 1
April 29, 2025 · ERE Recruiting Innovation Summit - Spring 2025 ·
About this video
A series of live product demonstrations shows how AI tools are being applied across the recruiting funnel, from screening and interviewing to sourcing and candidate outreach. Each vendor builds or runs their system on the spot, in response to an unscripted scenario, rather than delivering a scripted pitch.
One demonstration traces the evolution of an AI interviewer and a companion AI analyst, built to conduct behavioral, star-format interviews by text and then score responses into high, medium and low fit for a role. The tools were originally built by hand for each client but are now packaged into a builder agent that lets a recruiter generate a fully custom, bias-audited interview agent for any job in minutes: adding seniority level, location, screening questions, and company-specific competencies, then publishing a live link that can be dropped into a text message. Reported effects on hiring programs using these agents include lower turnover in healthcare and call-center roles, stronger interview-to-offer ratios once hiring managers saw candidates without knowing AI had screened them, and high candidate satisfaction scores tied to being able to interview outside of work hours.
A second demonstration focuses on filling a funnel quickly once a role opens, using a CRM and sourcing layer that sits on top of an existing applicant tracking system rather than replacing it. As soon as a job is posted, the system builds a model of the ideal candidate from the job description, past hires and existing pipeline data, then organizes candidates into distinct groups:
- applicants ranked by predicted fit
- past candidates already known to the company worth re-engaging
- people connected to current employees, useful for warm introductions
- new candidates from an outside database who match the role but are not yet in any system
Each group carries a different recommended action, from advancing an applicant to launching a cold outreach campaign, with filters that let a recruiter override the model's recommendations at any point. The same platform is shown generating a sourcing search and personalized outreach messages for a specialized engineering search, and separately handles high-volume hourly hiring through chat-based candidate engagement designed to get qualified people onto a calendar before they take another offer.
