A live, hands-on walkthrough of a sourcing platform shows exactly how its search and matching features work, moving from a quick primer on what artificial intelligence actually is (and isn't) into a real-time demo built around an audience-submitted job requisition.
The demo starts with AI-based matching: building a project by title, skill, years of experience, and diversity criteria, then "calibrating" results by accepting or rejecting candidates so the algorithm refines itself and returns more of the right kind of match. A blind hiring mode strips names and photos to cut down on subconscious bias, with custom placeholder images available.
From there the focus shifts to raw search, including a set of power filters not commonly found elsewhere:
- Leveling comparisons against reference companies like Google
- Work authorization and school-tier filters
- Security clearance and front-end framework filters that surface frameworks recruiters may not even know to search for
- Company-type filters covering Fortune 500, startup experience, and industry-specific groupings
- A "more likely to switch" indicator for gauging openness to new roles
A major focus is Boolean control across every filter, including a position's description search that limits results to what a candidate actually wrote about their own work, rather than the vaguer, more gameable skills-and-endorsements sections common on other platforms. Other keyword operators cover headline searches (useful for spotting recruiters whose headline reads "I'm hiring"), current versus past company and location fields, and summary text.
Additional sections cover a dedicated GitHub search with a coder score and language expertise pulled from repositories, an academic-style search for research papers by keyword and topic, and an integrated candidate view that pulls GitHub activity, published papers, and standard profile data onto a single page. Diversity filters, including distinctions like Black versus African American and country-of-origin options relevant to sponsorship needs, run throughout every search type. Results can be exported directly to CSV, and strings can run to any length without a practical limit.
