About this video
A practical walkthrough of the tool stack used to turn scattered online communities into a working candidate pipeline, covering the full path from scraping raw profiles to running automated LinkedIn campaigns and managing replies.
The process starts with importing data from Meetup, Twitter, GitHub and other networks using scraping tools such as PhantomBuster and Instant Data Scraper. Raw exports are filtered to remove nicknames, unclear names and non-Latin characters before being fed into a custom name-generator spreadsheet that builds a single large Boolean string of first and last names. That string gets pasted into LinkedIn Sales Navigator alongside a technology keyword, narrowed by location and experience, to confirm which Meetup or Twitter users also have LinkedIn profiles worth contacting.
From there, a tool called SalesQL is used to scrape those matched LinkedIn results in bulk, pulling emails and phone numbers into a downloadable file for a second round of filtering and personalization.
Outreach itself runs through a LinkedIn automation platform that builds connection and follow-up sequences, complete with tagging by interest level, technology and title. Pre-built scenarios handle multi-step messaging: visiting a profile, sending a connection request, following up if there's no reply, and closing the loop with a final personalized note. Triggers add another layer of automation, auto-connecting with anyone who views a profile, auto-accepting incoming invitations with a personalized reply, and monitoring hashtags to pull in everyone posting under terms like "sourcer" for daily review.
Because LinkedIn's native inbox lacks basic features like snoozing or filtering, a separate free tool is used to manage conversations: tagging candidates, filtering by reply status or date, snoozing follow-ups for weeks or months with an automatic message attached, and saving reusable templates that pull in a candidate's first name automatically.
Together the pieces form a repeatable pipeline for finding technical talent on smaller networks, cutting hours of manual scrolling down to a filtered, ready-to-contact list, and keeping outreach and follow-up running with minimal daily attention.
